Create a new wallet
You will be prompted to set a password. Use a strong password — your wallet file is encrypted with it.
The next step shows your seed phrase. Write it down on paper immediately. This is the only backup of your funds. If you lose your wallet file and seed phrase, your XFG is gone permanently.
Open an existing wallet
Enter your password when prompted. The wallet connects to the daemon at 127.0.0.1:28080 by default.

You will be prompted for your 25-word seed phrase and a new password.
Fuego addresses
Your wallet address is 98 characters long and begins with a lowercase f:
Always verify the full address before sending. There is no transaction reversal.
Register an alias
Instead of sharing a 98-character address, you can register a short alias on-chain:
Others can then send to @myname instead of your full address. Aliases are stored as a hash — no one can determine your address from the alias alone.
