# Hearth — Fuego's On-Chain Exchange

*The market where ΗΞΔŦ finds its price — and where your XFG becomes more than a balance.*

***

## Step into the Hearth

Fuego is a blockchain that mints its own money — ΗΞΔŦ, the flatcoin — and **Hearth is where that money lives, moves, and grows**. It's an exchange that runs on the chain itself: no custody, no order books held by a company, no waiting on a centralized venue to decide what anything is worth. Every price on Hearth is discovered by the people trading on it — one clearing price, once per block, for everyone.

This brochure is about what Hearth **lets you do**. Pick a path:

| You want to… | Start here |
| - | - |
| Convert XFG into ΗΞΔŦ (or back) — instantly | [Swap](#swap) |
| Trade at a price you set, then walk away | [Limit orders](#limit-orders) |
| Put your XFG and ΗΞΔŦ to work together | [Provide liquidity](#provide-liquidity) |
| Get paid for quoting the market | [Earn as a maker](#earn-as-a-maker) |
| Lock ΗΞΔŦ and earn real yield | [Own Certificates of Deposit](/features/heat/mint-heat) |
| Mint brand-new ΗΞΔŦ from XFG | [Mint on Hearth's price](/features/heat/mint-heat) |

## Swap

The simplest door in: hand over one asset, receive the other at the market's current price, settled on-chain in the same block you asked. No account, no KYC, no middleman — your wallet is your exchange account.

* **XFG → ΗΞΔŦ:** sell XFG into the pool, receive ΗΞΔŦ.
* **ΗΞΔŦ → XFG:** buy XFG with ΗΞΔŦ.

The pool prices every trade on a constant-product curve: a small trade fills near the current price, and a large one moves it — the more you trade at once, the less each extra coin buys. Before a sale, `sell_xfg` shows what you'll receive, where it leaves the pool's price, and what **minting** the same XFG would give instead, then asks before it sells.

You always set a **minimum you're willing to accept**, so a fast-moving market can't fill you at a price you didn't agree to.

```
sell_xfg <amount_xfg> <min_heat>
buy_xfg  <amount_heat> <min_xfg>
```

From the wallet RPC (SimpleWallet `--rpc-bind` and walletd) the same trades are `sell_xfg` and `buy_xfg`, or `amm_swap` with `direction` 0 or 1. Minting is `heat_mint`.

> Want ΗΞΔŦ without buying it? You can also **mint it** — burn XFG and receive fresh ΗΞΔŦ at Hearth's discovered price. See [minting ΗΞΔŦ](/features/heat/mint-heat).

## Limit orders

Maybe you don't want the price right now — you want **your** price. Post a bid or an ask backed by real funds, and Hearth fills it automatically the moment the market crosses your level. Set it and walk away: fills, partial fills, and proceeds are all credited on-chain and claimable whenever you come back.

* **Buy ΗΞΔŦ** below the market and wait for the pullback.
* **Sell ΗΞΔŦ** at your target and let the market come to you.

```
place_order buy  <amount_heat> <price> [exp_blocks]
place_order sell <amount_xfg>  <price> [exp_blocks]
cancel_order <tx_hash>     # claim deposit + proceeds whenever you like
orderbook                  # see the live book and last clearing price
```

> The fee schedule is on your side when you post: **makers pay nothing — and actually get paid** (see below). Takers pay 1%, 70% of which flows to ΗΞΔŦ CD holders.

## Earn as a maker

Every order that fills as the **maker** side — the liquidity someone else traded against — earns a **30% rebate of the taker fee**. Post liquidity on Hearth and your resting orders don't just wait: they work. The rebate lands in your order's proceeds automatically.

There's no separate command — it's what your limit orders do by default. Post both sides at prices you believe in, and the market pays you for quoting it.

***

## Provide liquidity

If you believe in the pair, become part of its depth. Add XFG **and** ΗΞΔŦ to the pool in a balanced pair, and you own a proportional slice of every trade's flow:

* Your share of the pool's **trading P\&L** as prices move.
* The **30% maker share of fees** whenever the pool is the counterparty.
* Withdraw anytime by burning your LP shares for your proportional reserves.

```
add_liq [xfg_amount] [heat_amount]     # no args = see the current pool ratio
remove_liq <lp_shares> <min_xfg> <min_heat>
claim_lp_fees <lp_shares>
```

> Add liquidity with no args first — the pool expects a balanced pair at its current ratio, and it'll tell you exactly what that is.

## Own ΗΞΔŦ — and make it earn

Hearth's 70% fee share feeds a yield pool for **ΗΞΔŦ Certificates of Deposit**. So the very same ΗΞΔŦ you trade on Hearth can be locked into a CD that earns protocol revenue — funded by real fees, never by printing.

**Buy your ΗΞΔŦ on Hearth** (swap or limit order, or mint it), then lock it:

```
heat_cd <amount_heat> <term_epochs>
claim_cd <deposit_id_or_txn_hash>
```

The longer the term, the richer the loyalty tier. Yield comes from what traders pay — a market that pays its holders.

## Your money, your rules

Everything you commit to Hearth stays yours:

* **Every order is backed** — funds sit in escrow on-chain; nothing exists as an unbacked promise.
* **Partial fills accumulate** on your order, claimable with your deposit.
* **Expired orders return everything** — deposit plus proceeds — automatically claimable.
* **One price per block** — no race to the front of the queue, no sandwich games.

Hearth doesn't ask you to trust a venue. It asks you to trade on one — and then pays you for being part of it.
